SHORT «TIME-TO-MARKET» AND FLEXIBLE DESIGN COMPONENTS – THE NEW PRIMEO WEB SITE
Aim of the relaunch of the Primeo Energie web site was not only a complete modernization, but also a redesign leaning on the pulse of the times. At the same time the time needed for publishing new content should be shortened significantly. It was time to set the course for the proposed merger of Primeo Energie-Portalwelt with the web site.
In a project team with four different service providers, it was our task, inter alia, to evaluate the integration of existing web portal landscape, the agile coaching, project assistance as Scrum Master as well as to define, develop and implement an appropriate design system in Angular 10.
THE CHALLENGES
One essential requirement while developing the new web site was to speed up the «Time-to-Market» of new products and services and to provide a swift release. For this purpose, we were tasked with developing or launching a design and CMS system for Primeo Energie which allows to quickly and flexibly build and launch web page content.
Furthermore, we were tasked to create the basis to reuse design components quickly and inexpensively in further web sites and customer portals belonging to Primeo Energie, thus increasing the efficacy of development, but rather streamlining the user interaction. One of our biggest tasks was to integrate and replace third-party systems like shop, network status and blog.
OUR APPROACH
The utilization of Magnolia CMS as headless CMS with a visual Single Page Application (SPA) Editor makes it easy to maintain and release new pages. The integration of an angular design system in Magnolia CMS including the development of our own angular Magnolia components ensures the highest possible flexibility when developing, using and exporting design elements. The implementation of a Server-Side Rendering guarantees an additional performance boost and supports the search engine optimization.

THE RESULT
The new web site, which addresses all customer groups of Primeo Energie, provides not only a modern and contemporary design but rather the speed for new online releases: currently, there are 30 components available for a swift and complete launch or expansion.
The Primeo Energie web site is a successful foundation for further extension levels, which allow to realize the vision of a digital and integrated platform throughout the year.
