Only a few days left until DSAG Technology Days 2026! On March 17 and 18, SAP experts, developers, and IT decision-makers will gather at the Congress Center Hamburg for one of the most important annual conferences of the SAP community. Under this year’s motto, “Lights on Layers. Clarity by Design?”, the two-day event will focus on clarity, transparency, and sustainable IT architectures.
And we will also be actively involved again: In our joint technical presentation with SAP and our customer regio iT on the topic of enterprise architecture, Dr. Michael Blaschke (SAP), Michael Bergrath (regio iT), and Markus Keinz, Managing Director of inpeek Germany & SAP Technology Senior Expert, will talk about the close interconnection between enterprise architecture and IT security in modern SAP landscapes.
The presentation provides practical examples of:
- how IT security can offer valuable insights as early as the architecture and development process
- why architecture without security loses its objective basis for decision-making
- how companies can implement SAP recommendations and avoid technical debt through tool-supported automation and monitoring
There will be a special focus on SAP BTP, the shared responsibility model, and the question of how SAP security recommendations can be continuously checked, monitored, and operationalized – rather than just being considered selectively at go-live. For the first time, we will also be demonstrating our latest development, the “inpeek Security Dashboard for SAP BTP,” which automates the checking of SAP security recommendations.

Abstract: Architecture and IT security are not isolated disciplines – they are interdependent and reinforce each other, especially in complex SAP landscapes. In this presentation, Dr. Michael Blaschke highlights the key interfaces where architectural decisions have a direct impact on security and, conversely, security requirements drive architectural evolution. We show in a practical way how close integration of both disciplines leads to improved risk management, more efficient governance, and accelerated digital transformation. Using a specific customer example, Michael Bergrath (Regio iT) and Markus Keinz (inpeek) present how SAP security best practices can be tested and ensured within the SAP BTP platform.
