The inpeek environmental campaign 2025 – combating neophytes near Utzenstorf
No presents, no printed cards, away from the classic consumerism and towards the original spirit of sharing and giving: at Christmas 2024, we stayed true to ourselves and broke new ground. And our customers were able to actively support us in this. In our big Christmas vote, they had the choice of various team activities that we could use to make a positive contribution to society and the environment.
Combating neophytes was at the top of the ballot – and it was precisely this action that we put into practice on July 5, 2025. Supported and instructed by the Burgdorf Hunting and Wildlife Protection Association, we wielded our spades to combat Himalayan Balsam, one of the invasive alien plants that have already densely displaced the local flora in some areas of Switzerland.
With great weather and excellent catering, around 15 inpeeklers were hard at work from early Saturday morning near Utzenstorf, doing their bit to restore the balance of the regional ecosystem. Incidentally, everyone else can do their bit too: if you see an invasive neophyte, please pull it out!
Our conclusion: Phew, quite a lot of work! – but also an important issue for us all. Many thanks to our customers for the great choice, to the Burgdorf Hunting Association for their uncomplicated help and to the inpeek team on site for their great commitment!
