Our review of DMEA 2026

A week ago, DMEA, Europe’s leading digital health event, kicked off in Berlin. The expected 22,000 attendees, 900 exhibitors, and 550 speakers gathered to discuss the industry’s most important and pressing issues, share valuable insights, and generate fresh ideas.

As part of the Swiss joint booth, the Swiss Pavilion, we were on-site again this year. Under the motto “Artificial Intelligence. Naturally Human,” we presented products and solutions that are pioneering the digital future of healthcare. With our booth partner 44ai AG and its innovative clinical documentation solution “Haidy,” we had an exciting startup on board.

But of course, we also kept our eyes open to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of the entire event, the dominant themes, and the exciting highlights. Here is our summary:

There is no shortage of ideas and new products

High-performing providers, concrete strategies, and market-ready software products address many real and perceived challenges in the healthcare sector. We need more courage, speed, and decisiveness when it comes to modernizing, procuring, and implementing digital solutions.

AI is everywhere

Nearly all system providers are integrating AI, often through partnerships. In terms of content, however, the focus is often on the same old use cases.

Technical innovation alone is not enough

The key factors are seamless integration into existing systems, the ability to utilize and effectively apply the collected data (including data protection considerations), and the option to operate solutions on-premises in hospitals and medical practices.

Prevention is becoming increasingly important

Early intervention and preventive approaches are gaining greater attention and offer significant potential for the healthcare system. Currently, the focus is often still on intervention. Closer collaboration between health insurance companies and healthcare providers can provide additional positive momentum in this area.

Progress in connectivity is becoming apparent

Seamless solutions are increasingly emerging, particularly in primary care. Integration with secondary care offers further potential.

Collaboration is the key

When utility providers cooperate more closely, real opportunities arise for viable and sustainable solutions. This means networking and broadening horizons instead of operating in silos and clinging to the status quo. The DMEA is a good example of the willingness of individual stakeholders to do so.

inpeek captures the spirit of the times

Our approach – combining technical expertise with in-depth industry knowledge and consistently incorporating the human perspective into the development of digital solutions – is perfectly in tune with the spirit of the times. Strong partners such as the i-engineers, qhit, Klinik IT, HINT AG and 44ai open up even broader horizons for us. How can we help you?
