IT you can touch:Future Day 2024 at inpeek

Second Thursday in November – National Future Day. For us, this means: clear the stage for the next generation! Imparting and sharing knowledge and experience is an essential part of inpeek’s DNA. So we were all the more pleased to be able to introduce young guests to our business again this year.

Six pupils aged between 11 and 13 were able to take a look at the day-to-day work of a service provider in the IT sector as part of a varied day program.

After a morning snack of croissants, a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the company, the agenda included a wide range of topics: from getting to know IT and the various IT professions to programming on the internet, a visit to the server room and a look at the workplaces of various colleagues.

And of course, the programming of our robot was not to be missed! 🤖

With so much concentrated content, a midday break with real IT expert flair was well deserved: pizza was on the menu, and the Töggeli box provided some exercise.

At the end of a multifaceted and instructive day, our young visitors took away many interesting impressions – and an extra portion of motivation. For example, they made a note of the web address they had been busy programming so that they could continue working on it at home. This made not only the highly committed inpeek Future Day team happy and satisfied.

It was great! We look forward to participating again in 2025. 😊

About the Future Day

National Future Day is not a normal career taster day. On Future Day, the focus is on changing sides: girls and boys are given practical insights into professions and areas of work in which their gender is underrepresented. The Future Day encourages them to focus on their individual interests and talents when choosing a career and to question prejudices.

Under the motto “Changing sides”, girls and boys get to know gender-atypical fields of work and areas of life and gain experience for life. This opens up new horizons. The young people gain the courage and self-confidence to take their future into their own hands, free from rigid gender images. National Future Day thus promotes gender equality in career choices and life planning at an early stage. It is a cooperation project between schools, the world of work and parents.
