CC ENERGIE MULTI-TENANT SELF-SERVICE-PLATFORM – INNOVATIVE, STANDARDIZED AND FLEXIBLE

The project “PDir” of cc energie, an IT service provider for the Swiss energy sector, aimed for a cost efficient and cutting edge B2C platform for power supply companies. SAP Utility Customer E-Services (UCES) allowed for a standardized process modeling and a highly customizable graphical interface.

THE CHALLENGES

A main goal of the project was to bring digital entry channels on par with classic entry channels like email, phone and letter, and thus, reduce costs for various business cases. A central portal infrastructure would be established to enable brand specific utilization of individual frameworks and online self-services for business customers of cc energie, BKW and Groupe E.

cc energie supports Swiss energy supply companies with ranging services and specialized know-how about customer service centers, billing, business change management and marketing services. cc energie was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of the renowned energy enterprises BKW Energie AG and Groupe E AG.

OUR APPROACH

The solution architecture focused on the provision of streamlined process-chains using SAP UCES in combination with SAP IS-U. The functional requirements included the most important core processes like registration to supply area, transfer meter readings, notification of relocation, bill insight and many more self-services.

To increase cost-efficiency, processes were standardized in an abstract layer and visualized for the customer with modern SAPUI5 solutions. Individual SAP portal frameworks are used to strengthen brand identity. These frameworks were customized according to the corporate design specifications of BKW and Groupe E.

In addition to the functional and visual aspects, the VANTAiO Portal Manager (formerly BTEXX easyWCM) content management system based on the SAP Enterprise Portal is used for editorial support. This allows editors to use the service platform efficiently and effectively as an additional communication and marketing channel.
